Conduct thorough market research to understand the industry outlook and target market. This section should include an analysis of your industry, market size, expected growth, market trends, and an assessment of your competition.
Organization and Management
Outline your business’s organizational structure. Detail the ownership, profiles of your management team, and qualifications of your board of directors. Include an organizational chart if necessary.
Service or Product Line
Describe what you sell or what service you offer. Explain the benefits of your product or service from the customer's perspective. Detail the product lifecycle, and any research and development activities you are engaged in or plan to undertake.
Marketing and Sales Strategy
This section outlines how you will attract and retain customers. Detail your marketing strategy, including your sales strategy, pricing plan, advertising, promotions, and sales process.
Funding Request
If you are seeking funding, outline your funding requirements, potential future funding requirements over the next five years, and how you plan to use the funds you receive. Specify whether you want debt or equity and the terms you’d like.
Financial Projections
Provide financial projections to back up your funding request. Include income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets for the next three-to-five years. Explain your projections and match them to your funding requests.
